Group Presentation
1: Planning (Group Name: 3RD Construct)
Grade: C
Assessment Criteria
- CLARITY OF THE ORAL PRESENTATION_ Does the oral presentation communicate a clear, concise and appropriately delivered Group Theoretical Position?
This oral presentation has a strong
concentration on the concept of planning and how this concept relates to their
BIM project which is good. However, presentation is not only read the materials
in the slides, students are expected to explain this concept in their own words
and their own understandings. Instead of reading, listening can help audience
understand it better.
- CLARITY OF THE WRITTEN PRESENTATION_ Does the Written presentation communicate a clear, concise and appropriately delivered Group Theoretical Position?
Generally, written presentation looks good
and continuous, it precisely grasp the points of planning and organization as a
team. Just one recommendation, text should be less and shorter. During the
presentation, speaking skills is more essential then text. Audience don’t want
to see long paragraphs which take time to read and also take time to listen at
the same time. Thus a good written presentation should better in phrases or
short sentences to grasp the concept and along with speaker’s explanations.
- DISTINCTIVENESS AND SPECIFICITY OF THE EXAMPLES_ Are the examples used to elaborate the particular theme of collaboration distinctive and specific?
Examples are produced appropriate during
the presentation. Although some of the images are relatively small to read,
they are strong enough to support the presentation theme.
- REFERENCING_ Are all sources of content properly referenced?
No.
Although Nikko said they put reference
under each image. But I still recommend them to put all the references in a
single slide. Not only image credits, text references should also be included.
- THE CONCEPTUAL CONTEXT_ Is it clear that the students have a strong grasp of the conceptual context of their theme of collaboration?
In terms of conceptual context, this group
did well. I can clearly understand the schedule and process of planning in
their project and each part of the content connect perfectly. It can be seen
that they spend time in researching and collaboration can be reflected during
the process.
- THE STILL IMAGE_ Do the still images support and extend our understanding of the Group Theoretical Position the students are presenting?
Yes, the images they select are quite strong and powerful which can help audience specify the topic they are talking and help them understand the content.
