Week7 Presentation Reflection

Group Presentation 1: Planning (Group Name: Shade of Black)

Grade: DN

Assessment Criteria

  • CLARITY OF THE ORAL PRESENTATION_ Does the oral presentation communicate a clear, concise and appropriately delivered Group Theoretical Position?

In terms of clarity, this oral presentation delivered a good connection between communication and their project. I can totally understand how they communicate internally and externally. They did well at this level. But personally speaking, I recommend them to introduce more about the concept and key factors about communication in general and focus more on those factors to help us understand communication theories.

  • CLARITY OF THE WRITTEN PRESENTATION_ Does the Written presentation communicate a clear, concise and appropriately delivered Group Theoretical Position?

Yes, personally speaking, I really like this group’s communication methods for writing, simple and powerful. By using few simple phrases, we are enough to get the whole points in this presentation. They captured the key points which lead well and guide well for the audience.

  • DISTINCTIVENESS AND SPECIFICITY OF THE EXAMPLES_ Are the examples used to elaborate the particular theme of collaboration distinctive and specific?

They use their own group as examples to demonstrate how communication works in a real project. And this helped us to identify how different communication tools are used effectively in different conditions. However, the final video they produced repeat parts of the contents from their oral presentation.

  • REFERENCING_ Are all sources of content properly referenced?

No.
Their text are quite simple, but I still recommend them to put all the resources they found into a single slide.

  • THE CONCEPTUAL CONTEXT_ Is it clear that the students have a strong grasp of the conceptual context of their theme of collaboration?

They produced a good conceptual context during the presentation. They effectively reflect hoe communication works between them and audience. On the other hand, their speaking distribution was interesting, they collaborated well as a group and I can see they prepared a lot.

  • THE STILL IMAGE_ Do the still images support and extend our understanding of the Group Theoretical Position the students are presenting?
To be honest, their topic is not easy to find matched images, but I can see they still tyr to find some 3D connecting graphics to demonstrate how communication net works between people.
